Covered Tissue Box

Helped my Roomie do a covered tissue box this week for her Mom's office. It is an easy project for that new Mod Podge we just made!!

We started with:
  • 1/2 yard of fabric (far more than you need)
  • wood tissue box bought from hobby lobby
  • the newly made homemade mod podge
First cut off a piece of fabric that will cover your box.

Next starting from the bottom of one side cover your box with mod podge and strech your fabric across the box. You don't what there to be wrinkles.

Continue all the way around your box. You will have to stop for a few minutes for the glue to start to dry so that you don't pull off what you just finished.

You will want to also cover the outside in mod podge for keep it from peeling.

To do the opening. First cut the center open. From the corners you will want to cut small slits so the fabric can wrap around the edges of the box.

To do the sides. I folded it in as if I was wrapping a present.

Use your fingers to press down the glue and make the fabric smooth.

To give the edge a finished look we painted the slide out bottom's edge that would be visible.

That's it!!

Happy Crafting
